This scheme is the 7th variation of the panda scheme at Sichuan Airlines. The panda cub featured is Sanyou 三优, the giant panda adopted by the airline and now its official mascot. San (三) is chinese for three and the cub's name was chosen to match the airline's IATA code "3U". The arrival of new generation widebodies at Sichuan Airlines also marks an additionnal step in the "Panda Route" network expansion program (note the additional titles aft of the wing). The cabin is also decorated extensively with pandas.

Chengdu

During the unveiling of the Magnolia 白玉兰 livery (on B-20AD) in April 2023, China United announced the start of the Diamond Route Network visual campaign which highlights the airline's 4-base strategy in style. Chengdu is the third base to be featured, and this aircraft was unveiled in time for the second anniversary of the Sichuan branch of China United. Note the "welcoming flower" magnolia theme on the tail of the aircraft is common to all the schemes in the series.

The Chengdu design includes auspicious clouds like all aircraft in the series and the tail has pink hues. Design elements include a Sichuan panda holding a traditional Kongming fan.

B-651T & B-653E were both delivered to the airline at a ceremony in Chengdu on September 30, 2022. The basic purple colour symbolizes the auspicious omen of "purple air coming from the east". A giant panda astronaut and a golden monkey captain roam the sky with Chengdu flower hibiscus in their hands, witnessing the launch of the new "Fuxing" high-speed train, a somehow modified C-919 lookalike and the Tiangong Space Station. This scheme is a celebration of the country's technological advances.

An Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The 31st such event was held between June 26 and July 7, 2022 in Chengdu with Sichuan Airlines a main sponsor (the event was delayed by one year due to Covid-19). The colours of the livery match the official Universiade colours (which are also the colours of the Olympic rings). Rongbao, the panda mascot of the Games is seen on this 4th and last scheme of the series, carrying the torch of the Games.

The colours of the livery match the official Universiade colours (which are also the colours of the Olympic rings). Rongbao, the panda mascot of the Games is also present on the aircraft. Note the rear of the livery matches the one of A319 B-6447 while graphics on the forward part of the fuselage are closer to the special Panda A350 liveries.

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a trade fair held in Shanghai every year in Automn since 2018. The expo is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government and "has the purpose of replacing US products with products from other countries". ; as for B-2002 at China Eastern, B-5940 is referred to as the "Jinbo" (进博) aircraft, Jinbo being a short name for the CIIE. The livery features Jinbao (进宝), the panda mascot of the event as well as auspicious four-leaf clovers.

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a trade fair held in autumn annually since 2018 in Shanghai. The expo is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government and "has the purpose of replacing US products with products from other countries". In mid-2020 China Eastern teamed up with the Expo team to promote the 3rd CIIE taking place in November 2020; B-2002 is referred to as the "Jinbo" (进博) aircraft, Jinbo being a short name for the CIIE. The livery features Jinbao (进宝), the panda mascot of the event.

This special livery was unveiled in cooperation with COMAC and the airframe lessor ICBC in time for the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the PRC. Beijing and Shanghai buildings as well as Chengdu symbols and Sichuan pandas are featured all over the plane. It highlights the achievements of the PRC.

SAS carried two Pandas from Beijing to Copenhagen on April 2, 2019. Xing Er and Mao Sun have been sent to the Copenhagen Zoo under a collaborative research project on giant panda conservation and breeding between China and Denmark, which will last for 15 years.

The arrival of new generation widebodies at Sichuan Airlines also marks an additionnal step in the "Panda Road" network expansion program.

This aircraft is the first A350 of Sichuan Airlines (a Sri Lankan not-taken-up frame) and it was rolled out in Toulouse in September 2017 but due to certification delays was not delivered to the Chinese airline until August 2018. The aircraft features famous playful Sichuan pandas.

The 1st Giant Panda International Eco-tourism Festival took place in Dujiangyan City in September 2015. The four-month event's focus was the giant panda protection, the giant panda culture brand, the giant panda eco-tourism line and the tourism product of Dujiangyan City - "World Heritage Dujiangyan Panda's Homeland Happiness".

The event had 4 panda-derived mascots, two of each being featured on each side of the plane (Panda Chief, General Panda, Panda Wise Man, Panda Princess). Note Dujiangyan City is also known for its Irrigation System which provides water for Chengdu, the largest city in the Sichuan Province.
