In late 2019 employees of the Peruvian division of SKY became aware of the story of 10-year-old Sebastian who was about to travel with his family by plane for the first time (onboard a SKY aircraft). Before the trip, his mom had posted on Facebook a drawing the boy had made imagining what his first plane trip would look like. Faced with that, the airline adapted the image on a self-adhesive paper and surprised Sebastian by placing his drawing on the fuselage of the plane the day the family flew. The emotion on Sebastián's face when he realized his drawing was on the plane was such that it convinced the airline to organize a nationwide drawing contest advertised in newspapers and open to children between 5 and 12 years of age.
The SKY Peru branch started operations in April 2019 and by early June was already a partner of the national football team and the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF). The aircraft transported the team to Brazil before their first match.
