In February 2018 Air Tahiti celebrated a legacy of 60 years, with predecessors RAI & Air Polynésie tracing the airline history back to 1958. On the occasion a third ATR gained special gold tatoos; this time the design includes specific graphics originating from the
Austral Islands, the southernmost group of islands in French Polynesia. The aircraft was christened in the island of Rurutu in the Austral archipelago, its name means "Holy cloud" and the tatoo includes the local motifs for dancers and the sun.
In 2019 the 60 Years titles were replaced by tatoos.
