The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta is a very large public aquarium. It was the largest in the world from its opening in 2005 until 2012. The logojet was unveiled to promote The AT&T Dolphin Celebration gallery which opened in April 2011. The aquarium houses around thirteen bottlenose dolphin.

In the 1960s, the company founders decided to name a product after one of their grandchildren, four-year-old Debbie, whose portrait is still on today's cake products. 2010 marked the brand's 50th anniversary and the special AirTran Jet was unveiled for the occasion. Mark Malkoff is an American comedian, writer, and filmmaker born in 1976. He gained media attention by setting up crazy challenges. In June 2009, Malkoff lived on an AirTran jet for 30 days in order to conquer his fear of flying. This 30-day journey of living made him break the Guinness World Record for most flight segments in a 30-day period (a total of 135 flights). The scheme also promoted the airline's onboard internet service.
