Qantas added decals to three aircraft in its group of companies in Summer 2023 to show its support to the Yes23 Indigenous "Voice to Paliament" campaign. The initiative advocated for a yes in the October 2023 referendum about Indigenous recognition in the Australian Constitution and Parliament. Australians voted against the initiative with a 60% No result.
These Hertz decals were different on both sides and featured the Great Ocean Road west of Melbourne as well as the Blue Mountains west of Sydney on the port side. The starboard side showed the 4-Mile Beach of Port Douglas and Mount Wellington in Tasmania.
Matxi Corp is a Vietnamese company selling health and beauty products since 2017. To celebrate its second anniversary the firm chartered this Jetstar Pacific plane and flew to Malaysia for an event which also celebrated its entry in the Malaysian market. The large decals remained on the plane for advertising puproses, until it became the first airframe to sport the new Pacific Airlines livery after ownership change.
Jetstar teamed up with Launceston (Tasmania Island) Airport in early 2019 to promote tourism to the northern part of the island. Landmark decals were displayed all over the fuselage with Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay, Cataract Gorge and the Bay of Fire all visible (note both sides were different).
Jetstar Asia celebrated 10 years of direct flights between Singapore and Darwin with this special scheme in partnership with the the region's tourism board. It was different on the two sides with drawings by Singaporean Artist Ben Qwek of a selection of landmarks of Australia's Northern Territory.
It is a land of contrasts with lush wetlands in the Kakadu and Litchfiled National Parks, Katherine Gorge in the Nitmiluk National Park, all represented on the port side. The vast deserts of the south of the region were displayed on the starboard side, with Uluru among others.
The plane was co-sponsored by Indonesian property developer Adhi Persada Properti and was primarily flying the Singapore-Jakarta route. The 99.co real estate listing portal is very popular in the Indonesia & Singapore markets.
These decals could be seen on the port side only; they promoted the Japan bid for the Expo 2025 World Fair. Osaka made its official bid for the Expo on April 24, 2017 with the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”. The city was officially chosen on 23 November 2018 after it eliminated Ekaterinburg in the final round. The decal was removed shortly afterwards (probably because of the sponsoring contracts).
The Australian slang edition of the Scrabble game was released in September 2017. Different words and icons were added on each side of this plane, including 'Mollydocker', 'Bonza' and 'Devo'.
The "SpiderJet" was unveiled in June 2017 in anticipation of the release of the 2017 sequel of the Spiderman action movie. Jetstar Japan organised a series of events related to the movie release, including a special flight with 40 Spider-Man Cosplayers. The 40 Spider-Men (including a few Spider-Women) winners were selected to board a flight from Tokyo to Osaka after the airline ran a competition inviting potential passengers to upload a picture of themselves striking a Spidey pose, in costume.
"Vitamins & supplements may only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate". These decals were promoting nutritional supplements and health foods brand 'Bio Island'.
The airline teamed up with enterntainment company Rovio to promote the release of the Angry Birds Movie in October 2016 in Japan. The aircraft was nicknamed “Happy Jet” for the occasion and featured the Chuck, Red and Bomb characters first seen in the successful video game.
Promoting the Japanese clothing brand, which was opening a retail shop in Gold Coast in 2016. The port side showed a female model while the other side showed a male.
Promoting the release of the cartoon in Australia, Vietnam and abroad. Note that on the Australian aircraft, ‘Panda 3’ titles were in green and there was an additional panda as the airline titles were shorter than on its Vietnamese counterpart.
Featuring 50 Singaporean "heroes" on a local bird in time for the Singapore Jubilee celebrations. The scheme was designed by local artist Michael Ng. The pop art-style livery was inspired by the black-naped oriole bird, a common garden bird in Singapore. Half of the citizens featured were people living abroad and selected by Jetstar Asia to be flown back to Singapore for free to spend National Day with their loved ones. The other half were selected for their social engagement among many nominated as “everyday heroes” by their family and friends.
