S.C. Rotor is the football club of Volgograd in southwestern Russia. The aircraft was partly used for transportation of the football team, which was one of the strongest clubs in newly independent Russia and qualified for European competition four times. Volga Aviaexpress was a regional airline based in the city of Volgograd; it later became Air Volga and its assets were taken over by RusLine at liquidation of the former. The aircraft was sold to Kuban Airlines - ALK and retained the basic colours for a while.
