This special livery appeared on the occasion of the release of one in a series of 2.5D stage plays called "Heart-to-heart: The strange tale of a revolving lantern", a stage adaptation of a straight play written and directed by Kenichi Suemitsu. Shin Godzilla (aka Godzilla Resurgence) is a Japanese science fiction kaiju film featuring Godzilla and released in Japanese theaters on July 29th, 2016. Decals were on the port side only.
KIX (Osaka Kansai Airport) is the homebase of Starflyer and the airline is a natural sponsor for its home airport. Although Starflyer was starting a few charters to South Korea from KIX at that time, its core business was -and still is- domestic flights. Note both sides were different.
