The next campaign of the Macau City tourism board emphasizes its gastronomy (port side) and historic centre (starboard side). The aircraft features Mak Mak, the mascot of the city-state, which is inspired by one of Macau’s most iconic buildings, the Guia Fortress. The mascot is a black-faced spoonbill bird wearing shades of red, yellow, and blue which symbolize Macau’s long rule under the Portuguese. In July 2019 an A321 joined the A320.

B-MAJ A321-231 Air Macau 2003-13

«Farol Da Guia». The East Asian Games is a multi-sport event that took place every four years between 1993 and 2013. Between 8 and 10 Far East Nations had their athletes competing in about 20 sports, including traditionnal sports as well as bowling, dragon boat, taekwondo and wushu (kung fu). From 2019 on, the event becomes the East Asian Youth Games.

The 2005 edition had Pak Pak the squirrel as the official mascot, as can be seen on the front part of the fuselage of B-MAJ. Macau ranked 5th out of 9 nations in the tournament, a remarkably good place for such a small territory.

Not every aircraft in the Air Macau fleet had the 5th East Asian Games titles applied; however that was the case of most aircraft (14 total, with slightly different decal size as well on some A321s), and these were kept until an astonishing 9 years after the event took place. Note the A319s had the titles near the front door due to the lack of space aft of the wing.
