1991-92

Yellow is the official color of the armor branch of the U.S. Army. The yellow ribbon saw renewed popularity in the United States during the Gulf War in the early 1990s. It appeared along with the slogan "support our troops", in the form of yellow ribbons tied to trees, and this one was celebrating the return of the US troops home after Operation Desert Storm in January/February 1991. At least 3 Continental 747s also wore a yellow ribbon.
