In its last month of service with the airline in June/July 1989, this plane flew 2 days for disadvantaged children as part of the Ansett 'Dream Flights' charity club. The two sides showed different animal paintings and graphics altogether with messages raising environmental issues. The design was the work of different Australian personalities including Rolf Harris, Clifton Pugh and David Rankin. The aircraft was later ferried to the US in this scheme and became a freighter for FedEx. Also known as the "Rainbow Serpent".
