A total of 840 entries were submitted in a livery design contest organized by Air Baltic on the occasion of the delivery of its 50th A220. The winning design depicts a young woman carrying the Latvian flag and soaring through the clouds with her long, flowing hair adorned with a traditional wreath. Also incorporated in the design are a ladybug, a swallow and a stork, all typical of nature in the Baltic region.

Vueling is now the airline partner of the French Rugby Federation which this year hosts the Rugby Worlf Cup as well as of the French Rugby Teams. Male players are displayed on the port side and woman players on the starboard side. Titles are in French only, with the aircraft flying mostly out of Paris-Orly like most of the early A321neo fleet of the airline. The rooster is traditionally a mascot of the French teams.

Volaris began operations in Central America in 2015 through Volaris Mexico (Y4). In 2016 Volaris Costa Rica was launched (Q6) and in 2019 Volaris El Salvador was founded. The subsidairy begun operating the San Salvador-Mexico City route in September 2021 with the San Salvador-Cancun and San Salvador-San Pedro Sula following. The airline efforts to increase tourism to the country are supported by the Salvadoran government, hence the flag livery.

On June 18, 2021 on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, Southwest unveiled its first specially-painted 737-800. All 50 stars and 13 stripes from the flag of the USA are featured on this tribute to the nation, its military and the Southwest employees. CEO Gary Kelly declared on the occasion: “Freedom is the essence of our country, and giving America the freedom to fly is the essence of our company. With 50 stars on the flag and 50 years of LUV, we dedicate our anniversary to Freedom.”

Freedom One was painted in Spokane, unveiled in Houston Hobby and flew to Dallas Love Field with a crew of veterans and military service members, to whom this livery is dedicated. "WR" in the registration are the initials of William "Bill" Rogers, a Southwest employee based in Renton (WA) who had passed 500+ aircraft deliveries when this aircraft was handed over to Southwest in 2014.
