Special titles appeared on two Qingdao A320s during Spring 2025 as a result of a three-way strategic cooperation between the airline, the Xishuangbanna State People's Governmentand Yunnan Airport Group. B-328F advertises Xinshuangbanna while B-328Y focuses on Jinghong. Cartoon-like icons represent the region with an Asian elephant, a Yunnan peacock, sky fruit seed, mysterious fruit and "dancing grass".

This project was the "Republic Medal Winner" of a contest by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and industrialization of the process is underway, using the "Zhong Fu Tian" brand name.

On July 7, 2020, Qingdao Airlines performed the first narrowbody service (QW9771 linked Qingdao with Chengdu) with Hi-speed internet available during the cruise phase. Onboard technology makes use of the Ka-band high-throughput satellite signal instead of the usual, slower, Ku-band signal already in service on other airliners. China's whole territory is covered by 26 spot beams originating from a China Satcom satellite, with the only disadvantage of a short pause during signal switching when the aircraft enters a new spot beam (with about 4 switches for this 3-hour flight). Note the decal was added on the port-side only.

Jilin is a northeastern Chinese province bordering North Korea and Russia; Changchun is its capital city. While Qingdao Airlines is indeed headquartered in Qingdao (in Shandong province), as of late 2018 it has three aircraft overnighting in Changchun. These promotional decals result from cooperation with the local tourism board and were added on the port side only.
