Celebrating the 45th anniversary of the airline and the 10th anniversary of Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium by presenting this
Whale Shark. The initial idea came to a JTA cabin crew member visiting the Aquarium, and the design is modeled after resident whale shark "Jinta". The design was so successful among customers that a derived Sakura Jinbei Jet design was unveiled in 2014 (see separately); a 737-800 was delivered in the original scheme to replace the -400 as the type was being withdrawn from the fleet.
