This very short-lived boxing kangaroo decal replaced the Qantas tail logo during 5 days only in October 1983, on the occasion of the return from the US of the crew of the
Australia II racing yacht who had just won the
1983 America's Cup. The Australian victory meant the end of 132 years of U.S. domination of the racing series.
