Etihad is a partner of Manchester City FC since 2009 and when the partnership was extended in July 2011 a specially painted aircraft was unveiled at Manchester Airport. The City of Manchester Stadium is also known as the Etihad Stadium since 2011.

Etihad is a partner of Manchester City FC since 2009 and when the partnership was extended in July 2011 a specially painted aircraft was unveiled at Manchester Airport. The City of Manchester Stadium is also known as the Etihad Stadium since 2011.

Manchester City's fan anthem is a rendition of old American song Blue Moon, and the Blue Moon Rising play on words has been used at a large extent to designate the club, notably for a sport documentary film about their 2009/2010 season. In 2016 the engine logo was modified. Since late 2018 the aircraft is stored in Teruel.
