Avianca El Salvador is the current name of TACA International, the national airline of El Salvador. Surf City El Salvador is a tourist project created by president Nayib Bukele to bring tourists to El Salvador. Surf City focuses on showcasing the Salvadoran surf spots and beaches.

Volaris El Salvador

2021-

Volaris began operations in Central America in 2015 through Volaris Mexico (Y4). In 2016 Volaris Costa Rica was launched (Q6) and in 2019 Volaris El Salvador was founded. The subsidairy begun operating the San Salvador-Mexico City route in September 2021 with the San Salvador-Cancun and San Salvador-San Pedro Sula following. The airline efforts to increase tourism to the country are supported by the Salvadoran government, hence the flag livery.
