This is the 7th scheme at JAL & JTA related to the World Natural Heritage tourism campaigns highlighting a designated area in Okinawa (& Kagoshima) Prefectures. The area consists of Amami Ōshima Island, Tokunoshima Island, the northern part of Okinawa Island and Iriomote Island. The drawing contest had been held once again for elementary and junior high school students in the Yanbaru/Iriomote Island area, this time specifically in the northern and Yaeyama regions the Okinawa prefecture.
Note both sides showed different elements sourced from the 2 winning designs; the left side shows "Tidanagaruma-din" by third-year student Sawa Yaka while the starboard side shows "Into Vivid Nature" by third-year student Aisa Tamamoto.
