This is the first special livery for the Xinjiang branch of China Southern, which operates 53 737 and 6 787 as of July 2023. HeTian (or Hotan) prefecture and city are located in the West of China's Xinjiang province, and are in the heart of a revitalization campaign targeting rural Xinjiang. Note Urumqi Air also has two aircraft dedicated to the same program (B-5407 & B-5429).

The colourful scheme represents singing and dancing people celebrating the good harvest with desert poplars and camels in typical warm Western China background colours. Just aft of the wing, a group of students is represented during a flag-raising ceremony in a newly-built school. A selection of fruits can be seen on the back of the fuselage, including red dates, walnuts, grapes, melons and pomegranates.
