Icelandair operated its first flight to Antarctica in 2015 and has since taken part in various Antarctica operations, sometimes through its Loftleidir Icelandic virtual charter brand. AL&E sells flights operated by Icelandair from Punta Arenas (Chile) to Union Glacier in Antarctica during the Southern Hemisphere Summer.
