A short-lived decal was added to D-ALFF in late November 2020 when LH Cargo operated what it called its first "CO
2 neutral flight", which used Sustainable Aviation Fuels (produced from feedstocks), with the remaining CO
2 footprint compensated by a program which plants trees. LH8406 linked Frankfurt with Shanghai and paved the way for regular SAF flights in Summer 2021.
