Belitung is an Indonesian island on the east coast of Sumatra in the Java Sea. The main tourist destinations are beaches and offshore islands/islets, hence the yellow/orange and blue colour mix. A number of tourism icons displayed on the livery included Tanjung Kelayang, Lengkuas Island, Muhammadiyah Laskar Pelangi Elementary School Replica, Gurok Pakuk Waterfall, and also the fauna of the Bangka-Belitung province's identity with
Tarsius.
AirAsia launched service to
H.A.S. Hanandjoeddin International Airport (formerly known as Buluh Tumbang Airport) on the island in October 2019 with service from Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.
