Gulf Air unveiled a special retro scheme with the delivery of its 7th 787. 2020 marked the airline's 70th anniversary. The airline's second A321neo was unveiled in the same retro scheme in October 2020. Note the purple colour in the original livery (referring to the Qatar flag colour when Gulf Air used to be a trinational airline) has been replaced by gold. Both retros also carry the "70th anniversary" and "F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix" decals that have been added fleetwide.
