Flying Honu #2 Emerald Green Hawaiian Ocean

In 2016 ANA launched a design competition to find a unique livery for its 3 upcoming A380 which will be assigned to the Narita-Honolulu route. The work of Chihiro Masuoka "Parent and child of Honu (sea turtle) relaxing in the blue sea of Hawaii" was chosen in 2017 with three colour variants of its sea turtle family design to be applied on the jets. The Green sea turtle, known as Honu in Hawaiian language, is regarded as a symbol of good luck and longevity in the islands.
The second Flying Honu was rolled out of the paint hangar in Hamburg-Finkenwerder on March 29, 2019. It is the emerald green one, named "Ocean".
