2018 marked the first time Egyptair dedicated a plane to the national football team with this standalone livery designed by their advertising agency. Both sides were different and featured some of the Pharaohs (the nickname of the team) as well as the flag and national landmarks in a purple version of the MS livery.

The list of sponsors of the team -including telecom provider We- was added next to the decals of the players. That was the source of a controversy between the Egypt Football Federation and player Mohammed Salah (sponsored by We competitor Vodafone) who said he wished he had been informed of the use of his image.

As a consequence in early June a modified version of the decals was applied on the aircraft (see #2).
