The success of Rackham (the Tintin Jet) led Brussels Airlines to consider other specials. Foundation Magritte and the airline worked together to produce a unique livery to celebrate the legacy of surrealist painter
René Magritte. He is widely recognised for his witty and thought-provoking images. Three paintings were incorporated by the Brussels Airlines designers in the livery: self-portrait La Clairvoyance (1936), La Belle Société (1965-66) as well as Le Retour (1940), with its bird-shaped motive and the nest.
