"Rackam" was unveiled on March 13, 2015, marking a milestone in the brand efforts of Brussels Airlines. The scheme celebrates the partnership between the airline and the Moulinsart company managing the rights of famous Belgian cartoon character
Tintin. The aircraft' shark appearance refers to the
Red Rackham's Treasure comics album, where Tintin and Captain Haddock launch an expedition to the Caribbean to locate the treasure of the pirate Red Rackham, who had attacked Unicorn, the ship captained by the ancestor of Captain Haddock.
The cabin of the aircraft is also decorated with Rackham Le Rouge graphics and the album is available to read inside the plane. The move proved to be very successful and led the airline to start a series of liveries now referred to as the Belgian Icons. In 2021 the aircraf was resprayed identically, this time displaying the signature of Hergé.
