This livery was the result of a public competition held by the airline for the delivery of its 21st A330. Winner Denzel Yap Shuet Lih was rewarded with a free ticket to Toulouse and could visit the Airbus factory to attend the rollout of the plane he designed. During Summer 2016 this aircraft was leased to Air Algerie and remained in the full special livery.

The phoenix bird or Fenghuang in East Asia are mythological birds that reign over all other birds.
