All China Southern Dreamliners have been delivered in a specific 787 livery. It was designed by a Seattle-based company and features feathers of an egret. Although rolled-out in August 2012, the first aircraft was only delivered in May 2013. Initially only 9 of the 10 787-8 were supposed to wear the special scheme, however all 10 have been delivered in the Egret livery.

Since 2018 787-9s are also being delivered in the egret scheme.
