In 2012 Condor added a second RetroJet in the iconic yellow sun livery introduced in the 1970s. The aircraft is named after longtime employee Achim Nietmann, who was retiring in late 2012 after 37 years serving the airline. He had been chosen by other staff members after an internal vote.
