People's Daily (Renmin Ribao in Chinese) is the biggest newspaper group in China. The paper is an official publication of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and was established after the revolution in 1948. This livery promoted the online website of the paper, People's Daily Online (people.cn) which is available in several languages.

The aircraft was assigned to the airline's small Beijing branch. A revised scheme appeared in 2019 on B-5931.
