The design of the livery includes a silver star (a reference to the state's nickname, The Silver State) and the “Battle Born” banner referring to Nevada’s birth as a state during the Civil War in 1864. Green
sagebrush (the state flower) with yellow flowers is dislayed around the star as it is on the flag.
