Celebrating 75 Years

N102DA had been wearing special "The Spirit of Delta" titles since its delivery in 1984 and was naturally chosen as the airframe for a RetroJet livery in 2004 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of passenger service by the airline. The scheme was inspired by the 1940 livery seen on DC-3s, as can be seen on preserved Ship 41 at the Delta Flight Museum in ATL.
