As part of New York City's Millennium celebrations, German-born American illustrator and graphic artist Peter Max designed a very special livery for one of the 777 of Newark-based Continental. The scheme was unveiled on November 15, 1999 in Newark Airport. Both sides were different and the livery was so popular it was kept until early 2008.
