This A300 leased from TAA was the only large aircraft of Air Niugini in the mid-80s. In November 1984, it was unveiled in a distinctive livery never to be used on smaller planes. The
greater bird-of-paradise is an endemic bird of New Guinea & Indonesia measuring up to 43cm long. This aircraft was nicknamed «Big Bird».
